I have been a member of Advocate Drum for over 20 years for a few important reasons. First and foremost is because this organization fosters a great connection between the Soldiers and our community. As a career soldier stationed around the globe, the relationship between Soldiers and this community is by far the best, and Advocate Drum focused their efforts on this relationship. Secondly, they have been successful in keeping Fort Drum, the biggest economic driver in Jefferson County, in upstate New York. You don’t need to look too far in New York State to see what happens to the community when a military base closes. Advocate Drum is a combat multiplier for our soldiers, and I plan to support it for a very long time.
