Program Manager-Job Description

Advocate Drum is the strongest champion and steadfast supporter of the Fort Drum community providing support to all who are dedicated to making the North Country a welcoming, thriving, and dynamic community.  As part of our Next Move NY effort, we are currently searching for an experienced Program Manager to join our ranks. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a natural leader, this person should have strong talent for project coordination and superb communication skills. Ultimately, the program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

Objectives of this role

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
  • Execute project objectives, ensuring program goals are reached
  • Manage budget and funding goals for maximum productivity

Responsibilities

  • Create a method for monitoring the progress of the program and improving efficiency.
  • Create new content according to the strategic objectives of the program.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners throughout the Next Move NY initiative and the community partners that will help support this effort.
  • Manage resources and ensuring timely delivery of program objectives.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the program to ensure effective execution.
  • Prepare reports and update Executive Director on the status of the program.
  • Resolve issues and ensure clear lines of communications with all involved with the program.
  • Confirm successful delivery at the program’s objectives.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in program management
  • Exceptional skills in leadership, communication, time management, facilitation, and organization
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing
  • Outstanding knowledge of marketing principles and performance evaluation processes

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
